DescriptionFive Dollars or Bust, dude . . .

Forget about following around a Grateful Dead cover band or Phish this summer.

Instead, throw on some tie dye, slip on some Birkenstocks and tag along with the "Five Dollar or Bust Tour" for GOP gubernatorial hopeful Don Goldwater.

It turns out that after nearly a year on the campaign trail, Goldwater can't quite get the requisite number of $5 contributions to qualify for about $454,000 in public funds.

Without that Clean Elections cashola, his campaign could be toast because early ballots go out in one month.

He has less than $3,000 in his campaign coffers.
