Description | Attorney General Greg Stumbo was personally disqualified Friday from prosecuting the merit system case against Gov. Ernie Fletcher, a Franklin District judge ruled.
But his office may continue to try the case, District Court Judge David Melcher said.
Melcher issued his ruling after a Friday morning hearing in Frankfort at which lawyers for Fletcher argued that Stumbo has made public statements that he might run for governor.
