Description | By the Lincoln Journal Star
Rep. Tom Osborne held a slim lead over Gov. Dave Heineman in the latest poll surveying the Republican gubernatorial race.
Osborne received 44 percent support compared to 41 percent for Heineman in a survey of 600 likely Republican voters conducted by The MSR Group of Omaha for KMTV in Omaha. Omaha businessman Dave Nabity trailed with 7 percent support.
The three-point margin, described by the pollster as “statistically insignificant,” tended to confirm results of two earlier surveys that found a dead-even race.
Osborne led Heineman by 44-43 in an April 9-10 survey.
Heineman led Osborne by 44-43 in a poll conducted on April 19.
The newest poll was taken on Monday through Wednesday this week. The survey’s statistical margin of error was plus or minus 3.99 percentage points. |
