Description | Darlington County Councilwoman Wilhelmina Johnson became the second candidate to announce a bid for the S.C. House seat being vacated by retiring Rep. Jesse Hines of Lamar.
Johnson made her announcement during the Darlington County-City dinner held at Lake Darpo Monday night. She will run in the Democratic primary in June.
Hines, a Democrat, is stepping down from the seat after 13 years in the House.
