Description | Meretz MK Haim Oron said on Saturday evening that his party would not reject joining a coalition government that included the ultra-Orthodox Shas party.
Oron, who met Shas leader Eli Yishai last week, said that "Meretz has switched its position. We would not reject Shas as a partner in the coalition."
Oron also met recently with Kadima's Dov Weissglas, former advisor to Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. Oron said of Weissglas, "we have very good ties." |
