DescriptionA Thurston County judge has cleared the way for professional ballot measure promoter Tim Eyman to start collecting signatures on a referendum petition to repeal a new gay rights law.

The Legislature and the governor approved the change in late January.

Eyman has until June 7 to collect the signatures of 112,443 voters – plus enough to guard against duplication and fraud – to win a place on the November general election ballot.
