Description | If Iowa politics were a book, a good title just now might be "Ten Days That Shook the World."
During the past week and a half, four significant developments altered the state's political terrain and are likely to shape events for years to come. They go a long way toward determining who becomes governor and which party controls the Legislature next year.
Iowa could have a Democratic Senate and a Republican House that must work with a new chief executive, a scenario likely to continue the infighting and partisanship that has marked Statehouse politics in recent years. |
