Description | By Wilson and Webb. Among other things:
-Senator Robert Bennett may have a decent challenger in 2004. Ex-AG Paul VanDam is leaning towards switching from the Governor's race (where he'd face Scott Matheson and Ron Allen) to the Senate race (where he'd be unapposed, and would fill a gap in the Democratic lineup)
-State Senator Ed Mayne is leaning towards running against Congressman Chris Cannon (UT-3). Mayne would be a strong candidate for the Democrats, but he'd face an uphill battle in this district.
-Governor Mike Leavitt may not run for reelection in 2004, according to inside sources. |
