Description | Yisrael Beiteinu favors public transportation on the Sabbath and a separation of religion and state, party Chairman Avigdor Lieberman announced Monday evening during a press conference held for the Russian-language media.
The release of the right-wing party's platform caused a stir among those attending the press conference who expected a presentation with a strong diplomatic-security bent.
Lieberman has, in the past, proposed a platform based largely on an exchange of territories and populations. He favors transferring the Israeli Arab residents of Wadi Ara to a Palestinian state. |
