Description | WASHINGTON - Rep. Jim Oberstar, the dean of the Minnesota congressional delegation, endorsed Democratic candidate Amy Klobuchar for Senate on Thursday.
Klobuchar, the Hennepin County attorney, is running against children's safety advocate Patty Wetterling and veterinarian Ford Bell in the Democratic primary. U.S. Rep. Mark Kennedy is running without a serious challenge in the GOP primary.
"Amy will stand up for the middle-class families who struggle with the rising costs of health care, home ownership, education and energy," Oberstar, a Democrat, said in a statement. |
