DescriptionWASHINGTON, D.C. — The Draft Clark 2004 for President Committee (www.draftclark2004.com) announced today that it has retained Michael K. Frisby as a senior advisor for communications and Joseph M. Birkenstock as a legal advisor in their effort to draft General Wesley Clark for President. "It's great to have such seasoned political veterans on the team. From the beginning of the internet movement, to establishing the draftclark2004.com website, filing with the FEC, opening a field office in New Hampshire, and now bringing Michael and Joe on board, the virtual internet movement is rapidly becoming a real, physical campaign," said Draft Clark 2004 Ohio Coordinator Denyse Rackel.

Mr. Birkenstock, previously Chief Counsel of the Democratic National Committee since 1998, recently joined the political law group of Smith Kaufman LLP. Mr. Birkenstock will advise the committee on campaign finance and disclosure and will help coordinate the campaign’s tracking of delegates to the Democratic National Convention.

Meanwhile, Mr. Frisby will devise and implement communications strategy for Draft Clark 2004, as it raises awareness of General Clark’s many accomplishments. “When voters learn more about General Clark, they will come out to support him,’’ Mr. Frisby said. “He has the charisma, stature and substance to be a winning candidate and a great leader for the nation.’’
