Senate President Jim King has had much scorn heaped upon him from some quarters because of his role in the extended medical malpractice debate.

At least King is behaving like an adult, which can't be said for Gov. Jeb Bush who, like a child angered by not getting his way, keeps attacking Republican senators who dare to disagree with him.

The latest Bush tantrum came earlier this week when Bush told Republican business groups they should stop giving money to Republican senators who have refused to go along with his insistence on a cap of $250,000 for pain and suffering awards in medical malpractice lawsuits.

By all appearances, the Republicans are becoming as adept at forming circular firing squads as the Democrats once were, when there were enough Democrats in Tallahassee to form a circle.
