DescriptionC. Carlton Weddington, manager of an auto title office for the Franklin County Clerk of Courts, is seeking election Nov. 8 to the Columbus Board of Education.

Weddington, 35, of the East Side, is single and a graduate of the Westerville school district. He holds a bachelor's degree from Hampton University.

Weddington worked as a substitute teacher in the Columbus district in 2000 and 2001, and he is a member of the district's African-American Advisory Council.

"I want to re-establish leadership that is unwavering," he said when asked why he wants to serve on the school board.
