DescriptionA Gurnee anti-tax activist launched his bid for the 8th Congressional District Republican nomination Monday with a call to seal U.S. borders from an “invasion” by illegal immigrants who he called “a financial drain” who pose a threat to “hearth and home.”

“When I speak of immigration, I will say I am no bigot,” said Ken Arnold, a 49-year-old who owns a human resources firm. “When I see that unknown millions have entered our country and are entering our county not known, not screened, not managed and therefore not welcome, I don’t care whether it’s a Juan or a suitcase nuclear bomb, I want the border sealed and I want them sealed now.”
