Description | Gov. Mike Huckabee’s proposal for an election to issue more college and highway bonds has broad support among other candidates for governor and lieutenant governor, but there’s one voice against it: Drew Pritt, a Democrat from Warren.
There’s also a waverer: state Sen. Jim Holt of Springdale, who, like Huckabee, is a Republican.
Holt, who is running for lieutenant governor, said he wants to do further analysis before deciding whether to take a stance.
Pritt, who is also running for lieutenant governor, said Holt has called him twice to talk about the issue. "I think he’s going to come out with me in opposing this bond. Politics does make strange bedfellows," Pritt said Friday. |
