| Description | Ending months of speculation on his future in D.C. politics, Mayor Tony Williams will not seek re-election in 2006.
WTOP Radio first reported Wednesday that the Mayor will not seek a third term. On Thursday, Williams made the decision official.
He said he is proud of all the work he has done and feels he has led the city to the "threshold of real greatness," but that he won't be the one to lead the city through the door. |
