Description | Two different groups of Arkansans highlighted their efforts Monday to persuade retired Gen. Wesley Clark to run for president.
The central Arkansas chapter of Washington, D. C.-based Draft Clark 2004 participated in a 100-city "Meet Up" on Monday night in which the various chapters gathered simultaneously in their cities to build support.
Also, a group called Arkansas for Clark, organized by Jeff Dailey, a son of Little Rock Mayor Jim Dailey, announced Monday a petition drive to encourage Clark to seek the White House in 2004. Arkansans for Clark bills itself as "the first organized effort locally to support a General Clark presidential run." |
