Description | Unexpectedly strong fund-raising probably will prompt Democratic presidential contender Howard Dean to expand his campaign into at least three states beyond Iowa and New Hampshire at least a month ahead of schedule, his campaign manager said yesterday.
While the campaign had considered adding staff in the early-voting states of Arizona, New Mexico, and Oklahoma around Oct. 1, Trippi said, those hires are more likely to occur Aug. 1 or Sept. 1. In addition, the Dean campaign plans to add a staff member to handle the media on campaign trips, a task that had been largely neglected. |
