Description | WASHINGTON — Dave Weldon in a rock ’n’ roll band?
That’s right. The conservative Brevard County Republican congressman and physician plays a little Santana and Bachman Turner Overdrive on the side, as well as the occasional Conway Twitty standard.
“I’m trying to be a bass player,” said Weldon, in his sixth term representing much of the Space Coast. “We’ve only been together about six weeks.”
Don’t expect any head-banging or body piercings.
Weldon is one of five House members and musicians who call themselves The Second Amendments.
