Description | Gov. Matt Blunt set a Nov. 8 special election to fill three vacancies in the state Legislature.
Voters in the 29th Senate District will be choosing a replacement for Republican Larry Gene Taylor, of Shell Knob, who died earlier this month. The district includes Barry, Lawrence, McDonald, Ozark, Stone and Taney counties.
Voters in the 94th House District will be selecting a replacement for Republican Richard Byrd, of Kirkwood, who died in May. The district covers a small part of St. Louis County.
Voters in the 150th House District will be choosing a replacement for Democrat Frank Barnitz, of Lake Spring. Barnitz won a special Senate election in April. The district includes Dent County, most of Crawford County and part of Phelps County. |
