Description | "UNION CITY - Soon after accusing Mayor Brian P. Stack of threatening to punch him in the face, the president of the local police supervisors union was suspended without pay and is dealing with an investigation into his own conduct, according to a union and police official.
Police Lt. Joseph Treanor formally lodged his complaints with the Police Department shortly after midnight Sunday after he and Stack got into a heated exchange at the corner of Eighth Street and New York Avenue, said Sgt. James D'Andrea, recording secretary for PBA Local 8A.
Treanor - who was off-duty at the time - was speaking with an on-duty female officer when Stack drove up and complained that Treanor's private car was blocking the pedestrian crosswalk, according to D'Andrea."
