"The chairman of the West Chester Democratic Committee said yesterday that he expects longtime State Rep. Elinor Z. Taylor to resign her seat by the end of this month.
Taylor's office and Joseph E. "Skip" Brion, chairman of the Republican Committee of Chester County, disputed Scott's prediction yesterday, saying that they knew of no plans for Taylor to step down. Taylor could not be reached.
William J. Scott Jr., chairman of the West Chester Democratic Committee, said yesterday that he had heard "directly or indirectly from four good sources" that Taylor, 84, plans to retire June 30." |
