DescriptionLaw enforcement officials in South Carolina are praising the job Strom Thurmond Junior did as the chief federal prosecutor in the state.

Thurmond leaves the job today.

State Law Enforcement Division Chief Robert Stewart says
Thurmond deserves very high marks. Stewart has worked with eight
U-S attorneys.

The 32 year-old son of the late Senator Strom Thurmond plans to
become a private attorney in his hometown of Aiken. He is undecided
