Description | A Michigan lawmaker is challenging a State Department decision to ask contractors to use foreign vehicles instead of American ones for the rebuilding effort in Iraq.
U.S. Rep. Joe Knollenberg, R-Mich., said Friday the State Department waived the decades-old Buy American Act when it asked contractors to use Japanese sport utility vehicles instead of American ones.
