Description | Ryan Silvey said he won the 38th House District seat on his own merit, and he is not sharing the limelight with Gov. Matt Blunt.
"They painted this race about Gov. Blunt," said Silvey, who defeated Teresa Loar in the April 5 special election. "It wasn't. It was about what can I do to help down in Jefferson City."
The GOP and Blunt tout Silvey's victory, along with a Republican win in a Jefferson County senatorial election, as a stamp of approval for Blunt's agenda. |
