Description | The siege that's threatening Robert Herod's small Bridgeton printing business began about three weeks ago.
That's when angry elderly area residents first began leaving irate messages on Herod's company answering machine.
"You're hurting us senior citizens, and we'd like to stop you," said one caller.
At first, Herod was confused. What had he done to provoke this? Then he caught sight of a political ad running on the evening TV news urging voters to call and complain to an Illinois congressman about his stance on issues of the elderly.
"There was my telephone number," Herod said. |
