Description | TALLAHASSEE -- Proposals to pump millions of sales-tax dollars into overhauling the home of the Orlando Magic and building a NASCAR Hall of Fame and a new stadium for the Florida Marlins sailed through a House committee Tuesday.
The series of bills would provide about $200 million for the projects, as well as three spring-training facilities, and easily cleared the House tourism committee.
But getting past the rest of the Florida Legislature is going to be much more difficult. |
