Description | He received the endorsement of a former U.S. ambassador one day and dropped out of the campaign the next. [NIPD] released a statement last week ending his congressional campaign for the Democratic Party primary in the state’s 5th Congressional District. George Bruno, U.S. ambassador of Belize from 1994-1997, publicly endorsed [NIPD]. The two worked together on the presidential campaign for Wes Clark. [NIPD] called the Bruno endorsement a “defining moment.”
But it was a short-lived race for [NIPD], who moved to the area a year ago after working on the Clark campaign.
Bryan Kennedy, a UW-Milwaukee professor, has already stated his intention to make another run against the incumbent, GOP Jim Sensenbrenner, who has held the seat since 1978. (D.H.) |
