Description | Dino Rossi joined hundreds of Republicans activists Saturday to thank them for their support as he continues his quest for governor.
Rossi, who supporters repeatedly called the governor of the state, spoke at the annual Lincoln Day dinner fund-raiser hosted by the Snohomish County Republican Party and attended by a crowd of nearly 460 in the Everett Events Center ballroom, 2000 Hewitt Ave.
The audience gave a long, stirring ovation as Rossi strode to the podium.
"I have faith something positive will happen for the state of Washington. We're going to clean up the system in the state," Rossi told the crowd.
Rossi, a Sammamish resident and former state senator, lost to Democratic Gov. Christine Gregoire on Nov. 2. In the closest gubernatorial race in state history, Gregoire won by 129 votes in a hand recount of the nearly 3 million ballots cast. |
