Description | Incumbent Elizabeth Burmaster and state Rep. Gregg Underheim will square off in April's general election for superintendent of Public Instruction, setting up a debate over how much Wisconsin spends on schools.
Burmaster and Underheim finished in the top two spots in Tuesday's primary, allowing them to advance to the April 5 election. The winner of that race will run the Department of Public Instruction for a four-year term.
