Call it poll positioning--Illinois politicians are looking to make some major changes should a Peoria congressman decide to run for governor.
State Representatives David Leitch and Bill Mitchell both tell HOI 19 News that they considering a run for congress, but only if Congressman Ray LaHood throws his hat in the ring for governor in 2006.
Representative Leitch tells HOI 19 News he is "ready to get his feet wet'" in Congress.
And Representative Bill Mitchell has also expressed interest in Washington D.C. |
