Description | Howard Dean becomes the new chairman of the Democratic National Committee in Washington this weekend, just as the party needs a good dose of inspiration and clarity of vision.
No rivals are left standing. No one else was able to generate any excitement. Dean ran a good campaign, keeping his credentials with his outsider grass-roots base while wooing the 477 DNC members, by definition insiders' insiders, who select the chairman.
