DescriptionGov. Mike Rounds is asking service clubs to help deliver ballots to people in nursing homes and hospitals so they can vote on their favorite design for the South Dakota state quarter.

Voting is taking place over the Internet and through banks and credit unions in the state. Votes will be tabulated after April 15, and the winning design will be announced five days later.

People are choosing from five designs for the state quarter, which will be released next year by the U.S. Mint. More than 35,000 online votes have been cast so far.
