| Description | Ann's education and work experience has prepared for the position of mayor of Chattanooga. She has earned degrees in political science and was named a Loeb Fellow at Harvard University where she studied cities, leadership and citizen involvement.
Ann's work experience includes such positions as City Director of Economic and Community Development and Executive Director of the Regional Planning Agency. Ann has demonstrated her commitment to the City of Chattanooga through her work and her volunteerism in the education and neighborhood arenas. She is an advocate of citizen involvement to make the community vital and progressive.
Ann has strong leadership skills. She has first-hand experience in owning a business and understands the challenges of the small business owner. She knows how to attract and develop jobs through her work for the City of Chattanooga and Hamilton County.
Ann believes in the strength of neighborhoods, public education, and that a well-educated workforce is a strong economic development tool for Chattanooga. |
