Description | Washington, DC (AP) - Former Arkansas congressman Asa Hutchinson has resigned as second-in-command at the federal Homeland Security Department.
An anonymous source within the department told The Associated Press that Hutchinson handed in his resignation letter early Monday morning.
Hutchinson told the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette newspaper of his plans yesterday after he was passed over twice in the Bush administration's efforts to replace Secretary Tom Ridge. |
