Description | Former President Bill Clinton and Al Gore's former campaign manager have contacted Deval L. Patrick to offer support and advice in his potential bid for governor of Massachusetts, as the Democrat begins asking supporters for campaign donations and putting together a structure for a possible campaign.
Clinton called Patrick earlier this week and invited him to New York to discuss his gubernatorial campaign, a Patrick adviser confirmed yesterday. Donna Brazile is also offering to introduce Patrick around Washington political circles and to national donors who can help him raise money, the adviser said. Senator Edward M. Kennedy also invited him to Washington to discuss his plans. |
