Description | Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to get to work.”
That was how Indiana’s new governor ended his inaugural speech Monday morning. Governor Mitch Daniels was sworn in as the state’s 49th governor and the state’s first Republican governor in 16 years.
In his inaugural address, Daniels pledged bold action to help revive the state's economy and tackle state government's fiscal woes. He planned to sign several executive orders Monday.
