Description | Senator Gwendolynne S. Moore (D-Milwaukee) will take part in a swearing-in ceremony during inaugural proceedings at the State Capitol on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2001.
Senator Moore was first elected to the Wisconsin State Senate in November 1992 and re-elected in 1996 and 2000. Prior to her election to the Senate, Moore served for two consecutive terms in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 1989-92. Senator Moore represents the 4th Senate District, which stretches from parts of Shorewood and Glendale across a middle northern stripe of the city of Milwaukee to the Waukesha County line. While the district has a great deal of diversity, it includes thousands of low-income people. |
