Description"(HAMILTON, SEPTEMBER 19) – Forrester for Senate campaign manager Bill Pascoe – releasing a new 30-second television ad, entitled “Black and White” – today issued the following statement:

“In last Thursday night’s debate, Robert Torricelli said that the Senate race should turn on one question – ‘Who do you believe?’ Well, we couldn’t agree more. Honor and integrity among our leaders is fundamental to the success of self-government, and, as such, is a cornerstone of our republic.

“So, to assist New Jersey voters in answering that question, we thought it would be helpful to collect just SOME of the opinions voiced by newspaper editorial boards around the state – and one nationally syndicated radio show – about what people think of Mr. Torricelli, now that his own colleagues in the United States Senate have so harshly rebuked him for taking illegal gifts, failing to disclose them, and then not telling the truth once he got caught. And we decided to let the words speak for themselves. There are no fancy computer-generated graphics, and no honey-voiced announcer … just white text on a black background."
