Description | Mitch Daniels' first term likely will be measured by two factors -- state government operations and the economy.
During his 16-month campaign, Daniels said repeatedly that a "new crew" is needed to repair a lagging economy and a government marked by mismanagement.
He called for an overhaul of the Family and Social Services Administration, saying children overseen by the state should be better served. He promised that service at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles would be improved, with shorter lines and better security. |
