Description | Republican Lt. Gov. Brian Dubie won a second term Tuesday in a race that many political observers had felt would be decided by the Legislature in January, while Republican businessman Randy Brock defeated state Auditor Elizabeth Ready Tuesday in a race that was shaped by questions about Ready's resume.
Dubie, defending his office for the first time, had about 56 percent of the vote with about 70 percent of the state's precincts reporting.
Former state Sen. Cheryl Rivers, a Democrat, had 37 percent of the vote and Progressive Steve Hingtgen had 8 percent. |
