Description | RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - John Kerry's presidential campaign is redeploying two-thirds of its Virginia staff to states the Democrat believes are more winnable for him and that are critical to his chances of being elected, the campaign announced Sunday.
About 20 Kerry staffers from offices around Virginia are leaving immediately, many of them for battleground states such as Wisconsin, said Virginia campaign spokesman Jonathan Beeton.
That will leave about 10 full-time Kerry campaign workers in Virginia, Beeton said, adding that the number matches the Republican staff working to re-elect President Bush. |
