DescriptionTAMPA - Democratic voters long undecided in Florida's U.S. Senate race are making up their minds, but unless almost all remaining choose Peter Deutsch, he won't catch front- runner Betty Castor, a statewide poll showed Wednesday.
Castor, the former state education commissioner and university president from Tampa, has 45 percent support among Democrats, the poll found. Deutsch, the South Florida congressman, has 31 percent. Miami-Dade County Mayor Alex Penelas appears out of the hunt at 9 percent, and businessman Bernard Klein of Hollywood has 1 percent.
