Description | Las Vegas Review-Journal article.
An excerpt..."The Nevada Democratic Party went to court Tuesday to keep independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader off the November ballot.
The lawsuit filed in Carson City District Court contends the petition used to nominate Nader was based on misrepresentations, forgeries and improper affidavits.
"Ralph Nader and the Republican Party need to follow the rules," Democratic Party spokesman Jon Summers said.
The Nader campaign said the Democrats are wasting their time.
"The Democrats are doing their best to keep voters from having a real choice," Nader spokesman Kevin Zeese said. "They're grasping at straws and looking for legal technicalities to keep Ralph Nader off the ballot because they don't trust the voters, and they don't have a lot of confidence in their candidate." |
