All the excitement, all the buzz, none of the man. While the Barack Obama campaign opened its Southern Illinois regional office in Carbondale Wednesday morning, the Democratic U.S. Senate candidate was not there, at least not in person. Obama did address the crowd of roughly 60 people by speaker phone. A large number of local Democrats and supporters gave their attention to Obama's disembodied voice after U.S. Rep. Jerry Costello rallied the crowd.
