Description | Former Republican Governor James R. Thompson says he's disappointed that Illinois Republicans had to go out of state to find a U-S Senate candidate.
The G-O-P's state central committee last week chose conservative talk-show host Alan Keyes of Maryland to replace primary winner Jack Ryan on the November ballot. Ryan withdrew from the race over sex-club allegations. |
