ATLANTA - Cliff Oxford told Denise Majette in a debate Friday in their battle for the Democratic Senate nomination that Republicans in the fall "are going to open you up like a soft peanut" for a vote in Congress against a military appropriations bill.
Majette, in an equally spirited attack on her opponent, told Oxford his failure to vote for five years in state elections should leave voters asking "can the people of Georgia count on him to show up and vote for any particular program." |
