| Description | Joe Kryillos and Robert Littell, two prominent Republican State Senators, have declared their opposition to the appointment of Deborah Poritz to a second term as Chief Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court.
Poritz, a Republican, was nominated by Governor Christine Todd Whitman to become the first female Supreme Court Justice in New Jersey history. Poritz was also the first female Attorney General in New Jersey history. |
