DescriptionOh, for crying out loud. Give it to Jim Oberweis and be done with it already. Nobody in the leadership of the Illinois Republican Party is going to pay any attention to me, but I can't help myself.

This search for a Senate candidate to replace Jack Ryan is getting too painful to watch as Republican bosses flail around from one silly idea to the next.

At least Oberweis finished second in the primary.

Theoretically, the Republicans are going to try to pick somebody to fill the ballot spot today, but if the latest trial balloon is any indication, they're just getting more and more confused about how to take on Democratic nominee Barack Obama.
