| Description | "BOSTON - Nebraska Democrats are feeling good.
Knocked to the canvas in 2002, the state party is back on its feet, rejuvenated and energized.
"We had an unmitigated disaster in 2002," Democratic State Chairman Steve Achelpohl of Omaha said Thursday. "The truth hurts, but there's no denying it."
Now, Democrats are on course to meet their four-year goal of defending Sen. Ben Nelson's Senate seat and competing for an open governorship in 2006, Achelpohl said."
